If you're looking for a role that offers variety, technical challenges and long-term career opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, fault finding, installation and commissioning of fire protection systems in accordance with Australian Standards and company procedures.

The role includes both routine compliance servicing and installation project work, providing excellent variety and opportunities to further develop your technical skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspection and testing of Fire Indicator Panels (FIPs)
  • Inspection, testing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems
  • Testing of Occupant Warning Systems (OWS) and Emergency Warning & Intercommunication Systems (EWIS)
  • Inspection and testing of emergency lighting and illuminated exit signs
  • Smoke alarm inspections, testing, upgrades and replacements
  • RCD testing and electrical safety inspections
  • Inspection and testing of fire extinguishers, fire blankets, fire hose reels and hydrant systems
  • Fault finding and rectification of fire protection systems
  • Installation, modification and commissioning of fire detection, emergency lighting and associated fire protection systems

  • Cable installation, device replacement and system upgrades
  • Identification and reporting of defects in accordance with AS 1851-2012
  • Completion of electronic service reports and compliance documentation
  • Providing professional service and technical advice to clients

No two days are the same—one day you may be completing routine compliance inspections, while the next you could be installing a new fire detection system, upgrading an existing building or commissioning a newly completed project.

About You

You are organised, reliable and committed to producing high-quality, compliant work while providing excellent customer service.

Essential

  • Experience inspecting and testing fire protection systems
  • Experience with smoke alarm compliance and RCD testing
