Job description

We're Growing—and We're Looking for the Right People

At Redmen Fire Protection, we're experiencing exciting growth, and we're investing in our most valuable asset-our people.

We're looking for three motivated Fire Protection Technicians—or people ready to build a long-term career in fire protection—to join our expanding team across Sydney and the Central Coast.

Experience in portable fire protection is highly regarded; however, it is not essential. If you are mechanically minded, reliable, eager to learn and ready to develop a career in the fire industry, we will provide on-the-job training and support to help you become a capable, confident technician.

Whether you're coming from another trade or already have fire protection experience, we'd love to hear from you. We're looking for long-term team members who are prepared to listen, learn, work hard and take pride in becoming trusted technicians.

Whether you're based in Sydney or on the Central Coast, we'll base you from the location that best suits you while providing opportunities to support clients across both regions.

If you're looking for a long-term career with a company that values quality, integrity and teamwork, we'd love to hear from you.

What's In It for You

Salary: $75,000-$85,000 + Super (depending on experience)

  • Fully maintained company vehicle, fuel card and tolls provided
  • $2,000 Sign-On Bonus after 12 months
  • $5,000 Loyalty Bonus after 5 years
  • Supportive leadership that values people over process and real conversations over corporate jargon
  • Genuine career pathways into Dry Fire Systems, Wet Fire Systems, Passive Fire, Technical Specialist or Leadership roles
About Redmen Fire Protection

At Redmen Fire Protection, we keep Australian businesses safe-one extinguisher, one inspection, one perfectly maintained system at a time.

We are a proudly Australian, people-focused team that delivers professional, reliable fire protection services across a diverse range of industries. Behind every site visit is a team that genuinely cares about doing the job properly, supporting one another and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

We believe in the Redmen way: work hard, do things properly, and finish the day proud of what you've achieved.

Together, we make greatness happen.

The Opportunity

As one of NSW's growing fire protection companies, we're looking for people who want more than just another job.

You may already have experience in portable fire protection, or you may come from a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building, maintenance or other trade background. What matters most is that you are practical, dependable, willing to learn and looking to build a lasting career in the fire protection industry.

You'll work across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial and government sites, learning to inspect, test, maintain and replace portable fire protection equipment in accordance with AS1851.

This role offers the autonomy to manage your day, build lasting customer relationships and become part of a company that invests in your future - not just your next job.

Whether you're based in Sydney or on the Central Coast, you'll primarily service clients within your local region while occasionally supporting our broader team as required.

What You'll Do
  • Inspect, test and maintain portable fire protection equipment in accordance with AS1851.
  • Service and replace fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, fire blankets and associated equipment.
  • Identify defects, recommend corrective actions and prepare quotations where required.
  • Complete accurate digital service reports, compliance records and photographs using our mobile technology.
  • Plan and manage your daily schedule efficiently while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and become a trusted representative of Redmen Fire Protection.
  • Work collaboratively with our Operations Team to ensure our clients remain compliant and protected.
  • Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools to the highest standard.
  • Always work safely and professionally while representing the Redmen brand.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience in fire protection, trade services, mechanical work, maintenance or a similar practical field is highly regarded—but not essential.
  • A mechanically minded approach and confidence working with tools and equipment.
  • A genuine interest in building a long-term career in the fire protection industry.
  • Certificate II in Fire Protection Equipment Maintenance, or currently working towards it, is preferred but not essential.
  • A stable employment history and commitment to finding a long-term role.
  • Current Australian Driver Licence.
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency or unrestricted Australian working rights.
  • Ability to work full-time hours.
  • Sydney or Central Coast based, or willing to work in either region as required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team environment.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to listen and learn, and a genuine commitment to protecting people, property and businesses.
