Job summary

Stantec in Perth is seeking a Fire Safety Engineer to join our Buildings team on a full-time basis. The role blends technical excellence with business development and client engagement to drive project outcomes across health, defence, high-rise, industrial, and education sectors.

You will lead design concept development, prepare FEB/FEBQ and FER documents, perform fire modelling, liaise with authorities, and mentor junior engineers while growing client relationships and pursuing new

Qualifications

Professional Engineer with pathway to Chartered Professional Engineer status.
Experience in a design consultancy environment with client engagement.
Ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages.
Solutions-focused mindset and ability to grow business pipelines.

Responsibilities

Prepare drawings and calculations supporting design concepts and compliance with Building Code of Australia.
Deliver technically sound designs, reports, and specifications across sectors including health, defence, high-rise, industrial, and education.
Prepare FEB/FEBQ and develop solutions through to FER.
Conduct fire modelling and evacuation simulations.
Liaise with authorities, clients and the project team.
Attend project meetings and inspect progress on site.
Drive business development and nurture long-term client partnerships.
Mentor and support junior engineers.
