Job summary

KBR in Sydney is seeking a Fire Modeller to join the Buildings team. You will focus on hydraulic and fire service design and modelling for major infrastructure projects, applying Revit MEP and AutoCAD to deliver precise drawings and models.

The role involves working under general supervision as a technical specialist, planning and executing design tasks, and contributing to project delivery with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hydraulic and/or fire modelling or a similar role in the building services industry.
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and relevant Australian codes and standards.
  • Ability to produce drawings/models with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks, ACC, and Revizto.
  • Knowledge of PDF software tools such as Bluebeam or PDF Exchange.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Assist junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams under general supervision as a technical specialist.

The Opportunity

KBR have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Modeller to join our Buildings team in Sydney. This is a key role in the business and a great opportunity for someone looking to join a global company and take the next big step in their career. You will be heavily involved in a range of infrastructure projects focusing on the design and modeling of hydraulic and fire service systems.

This role works under general supervision as a technical specialist and performs all conventional aspects of hydraulic design while also devising new approaches to problems encountered. You will have an opportunity to plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Who are you?
