Job summary

Ampac is Australia’s leading independent manufacturer of fire detection and emergency warning products. We are seeking an experienced fire alarm professional to join our Technical Support team in Brisbane, providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and on-site support for fire detection systems.

The role includes panel customization and working out of hours when required. Reporting to the QLD State Manager, you must bring extensive technical experience and a strong customer-service bias to

Qualifications

• Experience in technical capacity with fire detection systems.
• Strong customer service bias and ability to work with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for fire detection and alarm systems.
• Deliver telephone and on-site support to customers, possibly outside normal hours.
• Customise and troubleshoot panels on premises or at customer sites to render the system operational.
• Report to QLD State Manager and demonstrate strong technical and customer service performance.

Fire Detection Technical Support Officer

We are seeking an experienced fire alarm technician or fire industry professional to join our Technical Support team, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting support for fire detection and alarm systems. The Customer Sales & Technical Support Officer is responsible for providing technical support to all customers which will include telephone support, on-site in conjunction with customers which could include working out of normal hours. The Incumbent will also be required to customise and trouble-shoot panels either within the business premises or at the customers’ site in order to render the system operational.

Reporting to QLD State Manager, the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a proven record of accomplishment. It is a pre-requisite that the candidate possesses extensive experience in a Technical capacity and must possess a strong bias towards effective Customer Service.
