Job summary

Amentum in Alice Springs is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Technician to maintain and service critical fire alarm infrastructure. You will work within a small team to ensure reliable life-safety systems, plan tasks, and complete maintenance to a high standard.

The role requires NICET II/III or equivalent, strong WHS knowledge, and experience with Notifier systems; hands-on electrical understanding and preventive maintenance discipline are essential.

Qualifications

NICET II or III – Fire Alarm Systems.
Strong understanding of WHS Act and EHS policies.
Experience in Facility Maintenance or similar technical environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical terminology and infrastructure.
Knowledge of facilities equipment and O&M requirements.
Understanding of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.

Responsibilities

Inspect, test and maintain fire systems and infrastructure per standards.
Repair and install fire systems and infrastructure.
Program Notifier system.
Coordinate life safety system impairments with operations.
Maintain up-to-date understanding of facilities infrastructure and systems.
Instruct site personnel in life safety system operation.
Other duties as requested.
