Job summary

AESM in Victoria is seeking a full-time Fire Alarm Testing Technician to join our service team based in Knoxfield. You will conduct routine testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems, liaise with clients, and produce service reports to ensure compliance and performance.

You should have knowledge of AS1851, a Victorian driver’s licence, and the ability to work independently or with the team. The role offers career growth, paid training, and a company vehicle with safety equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with fire alarm systems and routine testing activities.
• Knowledge of AS1851 and associated Australian Standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and provide high-level customer service.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
• Ability to manage workloads and complete tasks within required timeframes.
• Comfortable using mobile devices, reporting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
• Successful applicant required to undertake a Police Check and client clearances as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, six-monthly, annual and five-yearly routine testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
• Perform inspections and testing in accordance with AS1851 and other relevant Australian Standards.
• Maintain Fire Indicator Panels and Emergency Warning Systems.
• Liaise directly with clients regarding routine maintenance activities and system performance.
• Complete service reports, quotations and compliance documentation.
• Identify and report defects, non-compliances and safety risks.
• Work safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry requirements.
