Job summary

Shift in Sydney is seeking a detail-minded Business Analyst to join our technology squad. You’ll collaborate with product managers, developers and operations to analyse business requirements.

You’ll document processes, user journeys and testable stories, support solution design and change planning, and help ensure projects align with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst, preferably within financial services
• Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative team environments
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with attention to detail in documentation
• Ability to engage and work with a range of stakeholders across business and technical areas
• Skilled in interpreting, documenting, and communicating technical and business processes
• Experience contributing to the delivery of complex projects
• Relevant qualifications in Business Analytics or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and operations to gather and document business requirements
• Serve as a key contact between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring effective communication
• Create and maintain clear, up-to-date requirements, user journeys, and process maps
• Break down business needs into testable stories and support delivery through the product development lifecycle
• Support solution design, change management, and implementation planning
• Assist with testing, validation, documentation, risk assessments, and project governance
• Help manage vendor relationships and maintain project artefacts
• Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement
