Job summary

CMC Markets is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for an 18 Month Max Term Contract in Sydney. You will support project and product delivery across the ANZ Programme, collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and agile teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements.

This hands-on role blends technical and operational analysis, launching new products and refining processes to improve efficiency. A self-starter with strong communication will thrive here.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst ideally within financial services.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• BA tools and techniques e.g. Jira, Confluence, process modelling, wireframing, data analysis, Visio/Miro.
• Technical knowledge e.g. API documentation, SQL, data management, web and mobile apps.
• Experience delivering operational efficiency projects for customer service functions.
• Experience implementing new Wealth Management product offerings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in financial services, banking, wealth management, payments, fintech or another regulated environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
• Conduct interviews, workflow and process analysis to elicit and document clear, concise business and functional requirements.
• Create and help manage a backlog of epics and user stories, including detailed acceptance criteria to guide development and testing.
• Produce mock-ups and partner with development teams to design effective, achievable solutions.
• Coordinate and support user acceptance testing across all CMC offices.
• Maintain up to date documentation and communicate changes to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Present demos and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the Product team and broader organisation.
• Lead and/or support all phases of the project lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to delivery and post-implementation review.
