Job summary

Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships in Mackay is offering a 24-month Administration Traineeship specialising in Financial Services, hosted with RoadTek. You will gain a Certificate III in Financial Services and experience costing, procurement and project administration with mentoring and a supportive team.

On completion you’ll have a nationally recognised qualification, with full-time NES benefits and a pathway to a career in civil construction finance and administration.

Qualifications

• Desire to work in accounting and finance.
• Interest and flair for numbers and finance.
• Experience in data entry with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience in accounting and finance preferred but not mandatory.
• Reside locally in Townsville.
• Driver's license and reliable transport essential.
• Willing to travel throughout the state.
• Experience in administration with multitasking ability.
• Initiative and motivation essential.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for day-to-day costing and financial administration for projects.
• Assist with procurement and supply of project requirements.
• Support project administration activities and timesheet processing.
• Prepare and check employee timesheets; resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Ensure governance and compliance with company policies and codes.
