Job summary

PEAU Page Executive is partnering with a well-established multinational organisation to appoint a hands-on Financial Controller to lead its finance function across Australia and New Zealand. Qualifications

• Proven experience as Financial Controller or senior finance leader with responsibility for financial control and commercial support.

• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, import/distribution, wholesale or other inventory-driven businesses is highly regarded.
• CA or CPA qualifications with strong technical accounting and financial reporting capabilities.

Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with international stakeholders, this role offers the opportunity to influence business performance, strengthen financial controls, and provide commercial support to a high-performing leadership team.

• Oversee financial control activities across the Australian and New Zealand operations to maintain accurate financial information.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or senior finance leader, with responsibility for both financial control and commercial support.
• A hands-on leadership style, with the ability to operate effectively in a lean environment and remain close to the detail when required.
• Experience within industrial, manufacturing, import/distribution, wholesale, or other inventory-driven businesses, highly regarded.
• Strong expertise in working capital optimisation, inventory management, cash flow forecasting, and financial performance improvement.
• Exposure to a multinational environment, including overseas reporting requirements and engagement with regional or global stakeholders is preferred.
• CA or CPA qualifications, with strong technical accounting and financial reporting capabilities.
• A commercially minded approach, with the ability to influence decision-making through meaningful financial insights and business partnering.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.
• The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, driving both operational excellence and long-term business outcomes.
