JPS Executive Search & Selection – Chandler QLD seeks a Financial Controller to lead Brisbane's local finance function, reporting to the Group CFO. You will own month-end, financial reporting and partner on budgeting and forecasting, while acting autonomously with strong business insight.

You are a qualified CPA or CA with solid commercial accounting and management reporting experience, ready to take on ownership, senior collaboration and leadership exposure as the company grows.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Group CFO based in Melbourne, you’ll take responsibility for all financial reporting responsibilities locally in Brisbane.

This is a hands on role offering genuine autonomy. You’ll be trusted to work independently, take ownership of the numbers and become the key finance contact for the local business, while still having direct access to an experienced CFO.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of month-end and financial reporting
• Management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Cash flow management and financial planning
• Maintaining financial controls and compliance
• Providing analysis and commercial insights to management
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting

ABOUT YOU

You’ve built the foundations and now you’re looking for the next step in your career.

You’re not necessarily someone who has spent years as a Financial Controller but you are someone who is capable of becoming one.

You could currently be a Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, Assistant Financial Controller or recently appointed Financial Controller who is ready for more ownership, exposure and responsibility.

You’re technically strong, commercially minded and confident working independently. You want to understand the broader business, influence decisions and build the experience required to progress into senior finance leadership. Most importantly, you’re ambitious.
