Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland in Rockhampton seeks a Financial Capability Worker to support individuals and families through financial resilience and wellbeing services. You will lead financial literacy education, one-on-one coaching, and group sessions, helping clients budget and make informed money decisions.

The role involves mobile outreach, collaborating with community partners, and delivering tailored workshops to empower long-term financial capability and reduce financial hardship.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Financial Literacy Skill Set; FCQ eligibility preferred.
• Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent is desirable.
• Diploma of Financial Counselling highly regarded.
• Proven ability to deliver financial literacy content to varied audiences.
• Experience creating and delivering workshops and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver financial literacy education via workshops and information sessions.
• Work with individuals to develop longer-term budgeting and money management plans.
• Develop and deliver tailored group education activities on financial literacy.
• Operate in mobile/outreach settings, co-locating with partner organisations.
• Contribute to community education initiatives on financial wellbeing.
