Job summary

Cathara Consulting is seeking a commercially focused Financial Analyst positioned to deliver robust forecasting, reporting and revenue modelling. Based on site in the Northern Territory, you will work with senior teams to translate complex data into actionable insights.

The role emphasizes forecasting, revenue calculations, and commercial viability assessments for capital works and private sector opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Economics, Accounting, Finance or similar.
• Strong commercial analysis, forecasting, modelling and profitability assessment.
• Policy development, quality management, and reporting experience.
• Proficient IT skills; Pronto experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Forecast revenue and market demand; model revenue scenarios.
• Manage monthly revenue calculations, invoicing, and accruals.
• Prepare revenue, energy, pricing and volume analysis for reporting.
• Assess commercial viability of capital works and proposals.

• Support government-related compliance and corporate intent requirements.

Job description

Cathara Consulting is seeking a commercially focused Financial Analyst to provide strong forecasting, reporting and financial analysis with a strong focus on revenue modelling and calculations.

This position is based on site in the Northern Territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Forecasting demand, analysing markets and modelling revenue.
• Managing monthly revenue calculations, billing, invoicing, reconciliations and accruals.
• Preparing revenue, energy, pricing and volume analysis for reporting, including to the Board.
• Assessing the commercial viability of major capital works, business development proposals and private sector opportunities.
• Providing economic advice on costs, pricing, demand and market conditions.
• Recommending risk management and mitigation strategies.
• Supporting commercial outcomes required under Government Owned Corporations legislation and the Statement of Corporate Intent.

About You

• Degree qualified in Economics, Accounting, Finance or similar
• Strong commercial analysis skills, including investment analysis, forecasting, financial modelling, trends analysis, and cost/management accounting.
• Skills in policy development, quality management, performance monitoring, and reporting.
• Strong IT skills across word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, and relevant business systems, experience with Pronto highly regarded
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with senior management and financial/operational teams.
• A collaborative approach with the ability to manage priorities and contribute to a supportive and positive team.
