Job summary

Mills Recruitment is seeking a Financial Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper for an industry-leading WA hospitality group. The role covers end-to-end finance, from daily bookkeeping to high-level financial strategy, reporting, and compliance.

The successful candidate will manage AP/AR, payroll, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, BAS and audits, with multi-entity experience preferred and CPA/CA qualification highly desirable.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA qualification highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accountant role in a commercial environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Xero (multi-entity experience preferred).
• Proven ability to manage both transactional bookkeeping and high‑level reporting.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bookkeeping duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyse monthly management reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial statements.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with BAS, taxation, superannuation, and audit obligations.
• Implement and monitor internal controls and cost-saving measures.
• Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and key stakeholders.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making across the hospitality group.

Financial Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper

Industry leader within WA, they are in a growth phase and seeking an Accountant to take the business to the next level from a financial reporting perspective.

About the Role

Seeking an experienced and hands-on Accountant to manage the end-to-end finance function for the business. This role will suit someone who is equally comfortable with day-to-day bookkeeping as they are with high-level financial strategy.

While strong financial strategy skills are essential, this position is ideal for an ambitious, qualified individual looking for a step up in responsibilities, covering tax returns, payroll processing etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct all bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
