Core Talent Pty Ltd in Sydney, NSW is seeking an Accountant to support financial accounting, management reporting and month-end functions. You will work closely with the Group CFO and operations teams to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.

The role involves preparing journals, reconciliations, monthly P&L and balance sheet analyses, and contributing to budgeting, forecasting and external audit needs. Strong Excel and accounting systems skills are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification or progress toward a recognised qualification is desirable.
• Relevant experience in financial accounting, management accounting or financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end accounting, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and accounting systems skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the monthly financial close and preparation of management accounts.
• Prepare and post journals including accruals, prepayments and reclassifications.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding or unusual items.
• Review general ledger accounts to ensure transactions are complete, accurate and appropriately classified.
• Assist with preparation of monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reporting.
• Maintain supporting accounting schedules and month-end working papers.
• Prepare and analyse weekly and monthly financial and margin reports.
• Review actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts and investigate material variances.
• Analyse revenue, gross profit, operating expenditure and divisional financial performance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Provide financial analysis to the Group CFO and operational management to support business decision-making.
• Assist with year-end financial reporting and external audit requirements.
