Mitchell Morley Employees in Sydney North Shore NSW is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage the core financial operations, lead the month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closes and ensure compliance with US GAAP, AASB and SOX. This hands‑on role rewards a proactive, solutions‑oriented finance professional.

You will partner with Operations, Sales and Marketing, deliver accurate reporting, support audits, and drive process improvements in a collaborative team environment.

Qualificações

• Fully qualified CPA/CA with at least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience with US GAAP, AASB and SOX is highly regarded.
• Proficient in Oracle ERP (GL, AP or equivalent), advanced Excel and Concur or similar.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, and review journals, balance sheet reconciliations and accounting entries.
• Handle complex accounting, including revenue recognition, provisions and accruals.
• Manage intercompany accounting and oversee fixed asset, lease and inventory accounting.
• Perform detailed balance sheet and P&L reviews, investigate significant variances, and provide commentary on financial performance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, support SOX controls and assist with tax reporting, including GST/BAS.
• Partner with Operations, Sales and Marketing, and support management reporting, forecasting and process improvement projects.

Your duties will include:

• Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, and review journals, balance sheet reconciliations and accounting entries

It’s all about … You! You are a fully qualified CPA/CA accountant with at least 3 years' experience in a similar role, and you have strong month-end and year-end close experience. You are a strong communicator who collaborates well and brings a genuine “can‑do” mindset—collaborative and driven. You bring Oracle ERP (GL, AP or equivalent) experience, and advanced Excel and Concur or similar are highly regarded. You take pride in your attention to detail and are self-motivated, dedicated and a great team player. Experience with AASB, US GAAP and SOX, or a background in medtech, FMCG or another high-volume sales environment, would be highly regarded.
