Job summary

SunPork Group, Australia’s largest fully integrated pork producer, seeks an ambitious Financial Accountant to join the Eagle Farm finance team. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will handle month-end reporting, analysis, budgeting, and statutory compliance while partnering with operations across the business, including occasional travel to Kingaroy.

You will develop technically and professionally, pursuing CA or CPA qualifications with support from a dynamic, collaborative finance team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Finance or related discipline.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Currently studying towards CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
• Solid knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with ERP or financial systems (Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Pronto or NetSuite) is valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly financial and management reporting, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Maintain capex registers and monitor WIP costs.
• Support consolidated reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Assist with BAS, FBT, payroll tax and statutory reporting.
• Support external audits and ensure proper documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide accurate financial information.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
