Job summary

Torrens University Australia is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join the finance team in Sydney. This role supports month-end processes, prepares journals and reconciliations, and collaborates with internal teams to improve financial reporting and controls.

You will bring at least 3 years of finance experience, be CA/CPA qualified, and have strong IFRS knowledge and advanced Excel. The role offers a dynamic, values-driven culture with flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ relevant finance experience.
• Current CA or CPA designation is mandatory.
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Experience operating within a robust internal control environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly close deliverables.
• Support external audits and financial reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with FP&A and other finance teams to improve processes.
• Ensure internal controls (SOX) are maintained.
