Job summary

Hydrogen Group is seeking a capable Financial Accountant to join our team in Sydney. The role blends traditional finance duties with ERP implementation and business systems support, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or a similar ERP platform.

You will collaborate with Finance, Operations, IT and external partners to ensure systems, processes and reporting are fit for purpose. The ideal candidate is a strong accountant who is also systems-minded and analytical.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting qualifications or significant accounting experience.
• Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, month-end close and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, AX, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Pronto, TechnologyOne or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day financial accounting and finance operations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and financial reports.
• Assist with general ledger, journals, accruals and other accounting activities.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as required.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Support ERP implementation, configuration and optimisation.
