Job summary

Foundry Talent Partners is seeking a Financial Accountant for our client in Mascot, Sydney. You will manage month-end close, prepare reconciliations, and oversee intercompany transactions across group entities in a hands-on, detail‑driven role.

Reporting to the CFO, you will prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, BAS, and support statutory financial statements and year-end audits. Advanced Excel, strong communication, and a proactive team‑first attitude are essential.

Responsibilities

• You will manage month-end close across multiple entities, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• You will prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, keeping the general ledger clean and fully supported.
• You will manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across the group.
• You will prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis for the Financial Controller.
• You will prepare BAS and support other tax compliance requirements.
• You will support the preparation of statutory financial statements and the year-end audit process.
• You will help maintain strong financial controls and drive process improvements across the finance function.
• You will assist with budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc analysis as needed.
