Job summary

Resolution Life Australasia, part of the Acenda Group, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join the Financial Accounting team. You will contribute to consolidation, statutory financial statements and disclosures, working closely with Finance, Actuarial and other stakeholders.

The role emphasizes accuracy, governance, and continuous improvement of reporting processes.

Qualifications

  • CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in preparing and/or auditing life insurance financial statements.
  • Experience in statutory reporting and group consolidation in financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Australian Group consolidation and Group financial reports.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and disclosures.
  • Coordinate inputs from Finance, Actuarial and other stakeholders.
  • Update narrative reporting and provide financial analysis and commentary.
  • Support governance activities to ensure timely, accurate reporting.

Joining us means stepping into a period of integration and growth, where your work will help shape our future.If you're energised by change and motivated by purpose, this is your moment to make an impact.**The Opportunity****12-month fixed-term contract**Resolution Life Australasia is seeking a detail-oriented **Financial Accountant (12-month fixed-term contract)** to join our Financial Accounting team and play a key role in the preparation and production of financial reports for the Group.This role is central to the Group reporting process, supporting the consolidation of financial data, preparation of statutory financial statements and associated disclosures, and coordination of governance activities that underpin timely and high-quality reporting outcomes. Working closely with Finance, Actuarial and broader business stakeholders, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to reporting excellence while supporting strategic initiatives and process improvements across the organisation.* Assist with Australian Group consolidation activities and the preparation of Group financial reports.* Prepare statutory financial statements and associated disclosures.* Coordinate reporting inputs from Finance, Actuarial and other business stakeholders.* Update narrative reporting and assist with the preparation of financial analysis and commentary.* Support governance activities to ensure timely, accurate and high-quality Group reporting.* Provide project management support to ensure reporting deliverables are prepared, reviewed and completed within required timeframes.* Drive continuous improvement of consolidation, reporting processes and controls.* Liaise with Finance, Actuarial and other business units to communicate transformation and process improvement initiatives.* Partner with leaders and squads to identify, validate and mitigate the impacts of strategic, regulatory and externally driven change.* Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of reporting frameworks, controls and stakeholder engagement across the business.**About You**You are a collaborative and proactive finance professional with a passion for financial reporting and continuous improvement.
