Job summary

Consumer Credit Legal Service (WA) Inc is recruiting a part-time Social Worker (0.4FTE) for a 12-month fixed-term contract within our Financial Abuse Legal Service (FALS) program. The role provides case management support to women victims and survivors experiencing financial abuse from a current or previous intimate partner.

You will work with a small team of solicitors and support staff, delivering non-legal support to increase safety, wellbeing and financial independence, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Qualifications in social work or related field.
• Registration with AASW or eligible for registration.
• Minimum three years' case management experience.
• Experience with victims of family and domestic violence and risk assessment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed case management and safety planning.
• Assist clients to obtain documents and financial information.
• Refer clients to housing, family violence, mental health, and other supports.
• Contribute to systemic advocacy and policy reform.
• Help establish social work processes for the FALS program.
