Job summary

Reo Group in Sydney, Australia is seeking a Finance Systems Manager to own the Dynamics GP environment. You will lead an internal support team, manage partners and provide technical direction as the business prepares for a major ERP transition.

Reporting to the CTO, you will drive incident and change management, improve system governance, and align financial, inventory and service operations with the ERP roadmap while maintaining data integrity and controls.

Qualifications

• Experience leading ERP environments with hands-on technical ownership.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP and related finance modules.
• Experience in inventory-led / distribution environments and cross-functional processes.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the CTO, this Finance Systems Manager will take ownership of a business-critical application environment centred on Microsoft Dynamics GP. You will lead an internal support team, manage specialist technology partners and provide technical direction across systems that support Finance, inventory, warehousing, equipment hire and service operations. This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical expertise, operational accountability and application improvement. Your immediate focus will be establishing stronger internal ownership of the existing application portfolio. You will act as the senior technical escalation point, oversee support and system changes, and work closely with operational stakeholders to understand business requirements and resolve complex issues. Alongside maintaining system reliability, you will develop the team's technical capability and introduce more effective support, documentation and change management practices. The organisation is also preparing for a major ERP replacement, creating an opportunity to contribute to the future technology environment. You will work alongside the ERP programme team, providing technical insight into existing applications, integrations and business processes while maintaining the systems that support daily operations. This offers a combination of immediate technical authority, people leadership and involvement in a significant enterprise technology transition.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical management and ongoing improvement of Microsoft Dynamics GP and its connected application environment.
• Lead an internal support team, providing technical guidance, coaching and escalation support across complex application issues.
• Manage specialist development and support partners, ensuring technical changes and service delivery meet business requirements.
• Oversee application support, improving incident resolution, problem management and operational reporting.
• Drive system enhancements across Finance, inventory, warehousing, equipment hire and service operations.
• Manage application integrations, including APIs and file transfers, ensuring reliable information flow across connected systems.
• Establish effective change management, technical documentation and governance practices across the application portfolio.
• Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to translate operational requirements into practical system improvements.
• Maintain system integrity, financial controls and data quality while supporting upgrades, configuration changes and ongoing application maintenance.
• Contribute technical expertise to the ERP replacement programme, supporting current-state assessment, integration planning, migration and transition activities.

Candidate Profile

You are an experienced Finance Systems Manager or technical applications leader with deep, hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics GP. You have managed a business-critical ERP environment and bring the technical capability to investigate complex incidents, assess system changes and oversee specialist development and support partners. Your background includes managing high-volume application support and understanding the relationships between financial systems, inventory and operational processes. Experience within an inventory-led, distribution, equipment hire, field service or closely related environment is essential, alongside a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related discipline.

You combine technical expertise with strong people leadership, stakeholder engagement and delivery capability. You are comfortable managing internal support teams, coordinating external partners and providing clear technical direction when complex issues arise. You can engage confidently with senior business leaders, understand the operational consequences of system changes and translate business requirements into practical technical outcomes. Your experience includes establishing effective incident, problem and change management practices while balancing operational priorities with planned application improvements.

You bring a practical, accountable approach and remain comfortable working directly with technology when required. You enjoy developing technical capability within your team and introducing greater structure across complex application environments. Experience with operational applications will be highly regarded, as will previous involvement in a major ERP implementation or migration.
