Job summary

Sharp & Carter’s client, a leading diversified Infrastructure organisation, seeks a hands-on SAP Finance expert to govern and transform its SAP Finance platform (S/4HANA). You will liaise between Finance, external partners, and project teams to drive continuous improvement and secure operations.

The role is full-time with a flexible hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days in the office per week. CA/CPA qualified professionals with SAP experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified accounting professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive hands-on experience with SAP and finance governance, processes and configurations.
• Experience in project-related work and SAP S/4HANA transformation is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary SAP Finance SME supporting Finance stakeholders across the business.
• Own SAP Finance governance, master data structures and security controls.
• Provide support and oversight for SAP Finance operations and routine activities.
• Lead solution design and engagement for SAP Finance projects and enhancements.
• Drive standardisation, automation and continuous improvement in SAP Finance.

About the Role

An exciting, business-critical role with an industry-leading diversified Infrastructure organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their Finance team. This is a high-impact role that will act as the primary subject-matter expert responsible for the governance, support, enhancement, and transformation of the organisation's SAP Finance platform.

Taking a hands-on approach; this role will be the key liaison between Finance, external support partners and project teams; and has equal accountability for maintaining operational excellence across the SAP Finance landscape and driving transformation initiatives including SAP S/4HANA adoption, finance process optimisation and continuous improvement.

This role is a full-time, permanent role. This organisation has a flexible hybrid approach to working with 3 days required in the office per week.

The Responsibilities

Reporting into the Finance Transformation Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

• Act as the primary SAP Finance subject-matter expert supporting Finance stakeholders across the business.
• Own SAP Finance governance, Finance master data structures and security controls.
• Provide support and oversight for SAP Finance routine activities.
• Lead solution design and business engagement for SAP Finance projects and enhancements.
• Partner with cross-functionally across the organisation to ensure effective support and delivery outcomes.
• Support SAP S/4HANA roadmap planning and future-state finance architecture.
• Drive process standardisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge management documentation and support succession planning.
• Ensure SAP solutions align with business, governance and audit requirements.
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives
• Assist in ad-hoc projects as directed by the wider Finance team

The Successful Applicant will have

Ideally, you will be aCA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally; you will have extensive hands-on experience with SAP and be accomplished more broadly across process, governance, solutions & configuration. Furthermore, you will enjoy be involving in project-related work. Prior working experience in Chartered Audit, Management Consulting or having worked on an SAP ERP system implementation previously will be considered advantageous!
