axr Recruitment & Search partners with a fast-growing technology infrastructure business to hire a Finance Systems & Automation Analyst (NetSuite) in Sydney. This permanent, full-time role focuses on NetSuite support, finance process improvement and automation.

You will own NetSuite administration, support reporting, and collaborate with finance users to streamline workflows using Power BI, Power Automate and SQL.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified.
• 2–5 years in finance systems, business analysis or related role.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience (administration, troubleshooting, reporting).
• Knowledge of core finance processes (procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report).
• Experience gathering requirements, mapping processes and testing system changes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; clear communicator.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day NetSuite support and administration, including troubleshooting and reporting.
• Support broader finance systems, automation and transformation initiatives.
• Work with finance users to understand pain points and automate processes.
• Contribute to new system implementations (procurement, project management).
• Run workshops, document requirements and acceptance criteria for tech teams and vendors.
• Coordinate testing, defects, and go-live activities.

Finance Systems & Automation Analyst (NetSuite)

Job Brief

Our client is looking for a qualified accountant with hands on NetSuite support or administration experience to join their finance systems function. This is a hands on role across systems, business analysis and automation, and it suits someone who enjoys solving process problems and working closely with finance teams.

About Our Client

Our client is a fast growing technology infrastructure business going through a period of significant scale. The finance team is building out its systems, data and processes to support that growth, with a strong focus on automation and practical use of AI. This role sits in a small team reporting to the Finance Systems & Automation Lead.

Responsibilities

• Own day to day NetSuite support and administration, including troubleshooting issues, configuration changes, user access, saved searches and reporting
• Support broader finance systems, automation and transformation initiatives across the business
• Work with finance users to understand pain points and manual workarounds, and recommend ways to simplify and automate processes
• Contribute to new system implementations, including a procurement system and a project management system used by operational teams
• Run workshops and document requirements, process flows and acceptance criteria for internal technology teams and external vendors
• Coordinate testing and UAT, manage defects and support go live and hypercare
• Find faster ways to get data out of NetSuite and into reporting the business can act on
• Support system controls, including change management, segregation of duties and audit requests
• Help manage a backlog of finance improvement work, delivered in regular short cycles

Requirements

• CA or CPA qualified
• 2 to 5 years of experience in finance systems, business analysis, finance transformation or a related role
• Hands on experience supporting or administering NetSuite, including troubleshooting, configuration changes, user access and permissions, saved searches and reports
• Solid knowledge of core finance processes such as procure to pay, order to cash and record to report, and how they run within the system
• Experience gathering requirements, mapping processes, testing and implementing system changes
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Clear communicator who can work with finance users, technical teams and vendors
• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, integrations or AI tools such as Copilot is a plus
