Bluefin Resources Pty is recruiting an experienced Finance Systems Accountant / Financial Systems Administrator (APS6) for a 12-month opportunity with a Federal Government agency based in Belconnen, Canberra. Working within the Finance team, you'll help maintain and improve the agency's TechnologyOne financial management system, support financial reporting and ensure the smooth operation of key finance processes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining accounting knowledge with financial systems expertise, solving problems and helping finance teams work more effectively.

The OpportunityYou'll play an important role in supporting the agency's financial systems and ensuring accurate, reliable financial information is available to the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Administering and supporting the TechnologyOne financial management system.
• Maintaining financial system interfaces and ensuring data integrity.

About YouWe're looking for someone who understands both accounting and financial systems and can confidently support the day-to-day operation of a complex finance environment.
Ideally, you'll bring:

• Hands-on TechnologyOne financial systems administration experience.
• Experience as a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems Administrator, Finance Systems Analyst or similar.
• A sound understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience troubleshooting financial systems and supporting system improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience working in government or another complex organisation would be advantageous.
• Tertiary accounting qualifications are desirable.

Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Baseline security clearance are required.

• Salary: $99,734 – $111,701 + 15.4% superannuation, subject to the approved salary point.
• Contract: 12-month non-ongoing Federal Government opportunity.
