Job summary

Resimac Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced Finance Reporting Manager to lead the integrity of financial reporting across the group. You will own group reporting and consolidations, statutory reporting and the annual report process, reporting to the Group Financial Controller.

A key focus is finance transformation and process improvement, driving automation, stronger controls and more efficient ways of working while advising senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting and Australian Accounting Standards.
• CA or CPA qualification required.
• Experience with complex group consolidations.
• Big 4 audit background, ASX exposure highly regarded.
• Experience in financial services sector desirable.
• Solid financial controls, audit and statutory reporting experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Interest in finance transformation and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own half-yearly and annual consolidated financial reporting across the Group.
• Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and support ASX/regulatory reporting.
• Manage external audit timelines, requests and issue resolution.
• Provide technical accounting advice ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare accounting policies and position papers for complex standards.
• Oversee balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and key judgments.
• Collaborate with Treasury and other areas on funding, intercompany and transactions.
• Drive automation and improvements to reporting, consolidation, and reconciliation processes.
• Provide accounting input into strategic transactions including M&A and capital events.

What you’ll be doing

• Own half yearly and annual consolidated financial reporting across the Group.
• Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and support ASX and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Manage the external audit process, including timelines, requests and issue resolution.
• Provide technical accounting advice and ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Interpret complex accounting standards and prepare accounting policies and technical position papers.
• Oversee balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and key accounting judgements.
• Partner with Treasury and other areas of the business on accounting matters associated with funding structures, intercompany arrangements and other transactions.
• Drive improvements to reporting, consolidation and reconciliation processes, with a strong focus on automation.
• Provide accounting input into strategic transactions including M&A activity, capital raisings and new product structures.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring strong technical accounting capability combined with the confidence to operate as a trusted adviser across the business.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• 5+ years’ relevant financial reporting experience, with a strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• A strong technical accounting and financial reporting background, including complex group consolidations.
• Big 4 audit experience, ideally with ASX exposure, highly regarded.
• Financial services experience or meaningful exposure to the sector highly desirable.
• Experience with financial controls, audit and statutory reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A genuine interest in finance transformation, process improvement and automation.
