Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD in Rockhampton seeks a Project Advisor (Finance) to lead the six-person Business Support team and deliver practical financial management across the Fitzroy District’s transport program. Based in Rockhampton, you will coordinate budgets, forecasts and reporting while strengthening governance and contract oversight.

The permanent, flexible AO5 role also includes responsibility for business continuity and acting as Deputy Continuity Coordinator to ensure

Formación

Strong financial management and analytical skills.
Leadership experience directing a team.
Understanding of governance, risk and internal controls.

Responsabilidades

Lead day-to-day priorities and workload allocation across the Business Support team.
Coach and support team members while promoting consistent, accountable service delivery.
Provide advice on budgeting, financial systems, reporting and contracts.
Coordinate forecasts, reconciliations, budget reviews, end-of-month activities and financial returns.
Monitor financial performance and identify risks, pressures and emerging issues.
Support financial governance, internal controls, assurance activities and service related contract oversight.
Contribute to business continuity planning, exercises, activations, recovery and continuous improvement.
