Nqpetro Pty Ltd in Cairns, QLD is seeking a hands-on Finance Officer to join our growing family-run team. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager to keep records accurate, support reporting, and ensure month-end processes run smoothly.

You’ll manage reconciliations, assist with journals and WIP, and help improve processes across a multi-entity business while maintaining strong financial controls and timely management reporting.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years’ experience in a Finance Officer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, month-end and controls.
• Experience preparing workpapers and supporting audits.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting or currently studying toward one.

Aufgaben

• Complete balance sheet, bank and other reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies and follow up items.
• Prepare journals, accruals and prepayments for review.
• Maintain fixed assets, leases and schedules.
• Assist month‑end, year‑end reporting and analysis.
• Prepare project reporting and WIP schedules.
• Support management reporting and reporting packs.
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation.
• Provide AP/AR support as required.
• Maintain accurate records and drive process improvements.
