Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking an experienced Business Process Owner to join the Business Process Excellence team on a permanent, full-time basis to govern the finance stream across end-to-end processes, aligning with program objectives and future business needs.

You will work closely with finance leaders, SMEs, and project teams to drive standardisation, continuous improvement and effective change readiness across the organisation, including governance and risk management within a

Qualifications

• Experience leading process ownership or large-scale transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, governance, controls and continuous improvement.
• Experience partnering with Finance leaders to drive standardisation and operational excellence.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills across locations.
• Experience working with D365 Financial systems.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with risk awareness.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive change across business units.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary business process owner for the finance stream and align priorities with the program.
• Govern end-to-end finance processes, ensuring consistency and alignment to objectives.
• Define future direction of finance processes balancing operations, compliance and strategy.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation and standardisation with finance leaders.
• Review and prioritise process initiatives and change requests affecting finance operations.
• Act as escalation point for process risks and dependencies.
• Establish and monitor process performance metrics and governance.
• Guide design and BPE teams to align with future operating model.
• Maintain visibility of risks, issues and dependencies for governance.
