Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education Office is seeking a Senior Advisor - Finance Policy and Learning to lead a significant uplift of our Finance policy, guidance and learning environment. The role combines finance expertise with policy writing, information design and learning development to support BCE offices and schools.

The successful candidate will redesign the end-to-end Finance information landscape, ensure technical accuracy, and create learning resources and pathways for varied audiences across

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Finance processes, controls and operational environments.
• Experience writing or redesigning policies, procedures, guidance or controlled business documents.
• Ability to absorb complex financial information and translate it into clear, usable content for different audiences.
• Experience organising large volumes of reference material into coherent document suites and user pathways.

Responsibilities

• Review and catalogue existing Finance policies, procedures, guidance, training resources and SharePoint content.
• Identify duplication, gaps, outdated content, ownership issues and opportunities to simplify the user experience.
• Rewrite and reorganise priority Finance reference material using clear, concise and consistent language.
• Design a logical Finance information architecture that separates mandatory policy requirements from procedures, guidance, work instructions and learning content.
• Work with Finance specialists to confirm technical accuracy, controls, decision rights and practical application.
• Develop audience-based learning pathways, learner guides, scripts, storyboards, micro-learning, videos and supporting resources.
• Plan consultation, user testing, quality assurance, implementation and adoption activities.
• Establish sustainable document ownership, review cycles, version control and source-of-truth arrangements.
• Support the redesign of Finance SharePoint pages so information is easier to find, navigate and maintain.
