Job summary

Chevron Australia Downstream is seeking a Business Performance and Finance Analyst to provide timely financial counsel to business partners from Brisbane head office. You will support AP/AR, fixed assets, cash/bank, payroll, and tax lodgments while coordinating with Manila SSC and other units to ensure accurate reporting and transition of information.

The role emphasizes analytics, dashboarding with Power BI, and leveraging SAP within a collaborative, hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, commerce, or business. CPA/CA an advantage.
• Knowledge of accounting policies/procedures (US GAAP, Australian Accounting Standards).
• Experience with accounting software (SAP is an advantage).
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI for data analytics and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Support finance activities including AP, AR, fixed assets, cash & bank, inventory, payroll, and indirect tax lodgments (GST, BAS, etc).
• Collaborate with Finance Shared Services and other business units to coordinate accounting processes and align on transactions.
• Provide financial analyses and insights to drive informed decision making.
• Coordinate responses from local, regional, and global teams on finance-related questions.
• Assist with SOX compliance and internal audit to ensure controls operate effectively.
• Participate in reporting requirements and annual external audits.
