Transurban is seeking a Finance Partner for a 12-month secondment to provide strategic financial leadership. You will partner closely with Technology and operations teams to drive high-value outcomes and optimise investments in a community-linked technology landscape.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, customer-focused thinking, and advanced financial modelling to support major capital expenditure and business cases. Melbourne-based, with flexible working considerations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted commercial advisor to technology and business leaders, embedding sharp commercial acumen into business cases, budgeting, and major capex plans.
• Foster relationships and collaborative delivery across tech, operations and finance to align financial strategy with business objectives.
• Build sophisticated financial models, evaluate complex data sets, and assess project investments.
• Navigate dynamic portfolios with adaptability and structured problem solving to identify cost optimisations and value creation.

We’re seeking a Finance Partner for a 12-month Secondment opportunity to provide strategic financial leadership, partnering closely with our Technology and operational teams to drive sustainable, high-value outcomes.

Day-to-day, you will:

• A solid foundation in finance, accounting, commerce, or a related analytical field, complemented by relevant professional qualifications or equivalent commercial experience.
