In this role, you'll:

You’ll provide specialist financial insights and decision support to divisional and agency leaders across Transport and act as a subject matter expert in financial analysis, modelling, and business partnering, enabling leaders to understand cost drivers, evaluate funding options, and optimise the financial sustainability of programs and services.

You’ll translate complex financial data into actionable insights, ensure alignment with central agency requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement in financial management practices across the organisation.

You’ll prepare high-quality commentary, insights, and recommendations on divisional and cluster financial performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and cost drivers for executive audiences.

This role operates within our hybrid working model, requiring 50% workplace attendance. The home base for this role is Macquarie Park however; there will be flexibility to work from the offices of the supported divisions or branches.

Please note this role is a fixed term full time opportunity up to 12 months.

You possess significant experience in financial partnering, insights, and analysis within a large, complex organisation combined with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including expertise in financial modelling, scenario testing, and performance evaluation.

You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where delivery on tight deadlines is critical. You’re a self-starter, know how to build strong relationships, collaborate and communicate effectively to drive business outcomes.

You have a Bachelor qualification in a relevant discipline (Accounting, Business, Economics or Commerce) from an Australian university or equivalent overseas qualification, extensive and relevant professional experience and full professional membership with either CPA Australia (CPA), Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), or an equivalent.
