Job summary

Dungog Shire Council is seeking a dedicated finance officer to provide efficient, accurate transactional services across payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable in line with policy, legislation and Award requirements.

You will work closely with multiple teams to support the Council's financial, operational and legislative obligations, delivering high-quality services to our community while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Experience with data entry and electronic/online records.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for payroll and calculations.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Provide accurate, compliant transactional services.
• Collaborate across teams to support financial, operational and legislative obligations.
