Dungog Shire Council is seeking a dedicated finance officer to provide efficient, accurate transactional services across payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable in line with policy, legislation and Award requirements.
You will work closely with multiple teams to support the Council's financial, operational and legislative obligations, delivering high-quality services to our community while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

Dungog Shire Council is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced finance officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient, accurate and compliant transactional services across key financial functions including payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable in accordance with policy, legislative and Award requirements.
To be successful in this position, you will have the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams to support the achievement of Council's financial, operational and legislative obligations. You will be a self-starter driven by the opportunity to deliver high quality financial services to Council and our key stakeholders.

This position is placed at Grade 6 of Council's salary system. It is a full time, 35 hour per week position currently being offered on a 2-year fixed term contract. The salary is in the range of $72,987 to $82,100 per annum plus 12% Superannuation.
This role works a 19-day month with 1 rostered day off (RDO) every 4 weeks.
