Lawson Elliott Recruitment is partnering with a growing industrial business in North Queensland to support its finance team. This Finance Officer role covers accounts payable and payroll, with approximately 300 employees in payroll and high-volume AP processing.

Based in Mareeba, you will report to the Finance Manager and contribute to day-to-day financial operations. You will handle supplier invoices, fortnightly payroll processing, reconcile invoices, liaise with suppliers and internal

Qualificações

• 2+ years’ experience in Finance Officer or a similar finance role.
• Experience in a high-volume, multi-entity environment, including invoice and payment processing.
• Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative and a proactive approach to process improvement.
• Experience using large accounting or ERP systems.

Responsabilidades

• Processing supplier invoices and purchase orders.
• Assisting with the preparation and processing of fortnightly payroll for approximately 300 employees.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting reporting requirements.
• Resolving invoice discrepancies, payment issues and accounts payable queries.
• Managing the accounts payable inbox and responding to supplier enquiries.
• Identifying and resolving issues across the end-to-end accounts payable and payroll processes.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of finance operations.
• Providing general support to the Finance team and assisting with ad hoc duties as required.
