Job summary

Bolton Clarke is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join our finance team in Brisbane. You will process high volumes of supplier invoices, manage payments, reconcile statements and support month-end processes with accuracy and timeliness.

You will demonstrate strong Excel skills, attention to detail and a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and suppliers while upholding financial controls and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable, finance administration or similar transactional finance role in a large/complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, reconciliations, payment runs and financial controls with high accuracy.
• Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, with the ability to manage high transaction volumes.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices, employee reimbursements and payment runs with accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile supplier statements, investigate discrepancies and resolve payment issues.
• Maintain accurate AP records and support month-end reporting and audits.
• Respond to supplier and internal stakeholder enquiries with professional, timely support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with financial policies and controls.

Key activities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices, employee reimbursements and payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of accounts.
• Reconcile supplier statements and accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payment-related issues.

About you

You are a detail-oriented finance professional with accounts payable experience, strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage high-volume transactions accurately. You are also proficient with financial systems, collaborative in your work approach, and committed to delivering efficient, compliant financial processes.

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable, finance administration or a similar transactional finance role, preferably within a large or complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, account reconciliations, payment runs and financial controls, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage high transaction volumes efficiently.
• Excellent customer service, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to prioritise workloads and meet competing deadlines.
• Relevant finance, accounting or bookkeeping qualifications (or equivalent experience) and a commitment to maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures.
