Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will handle AP, payroll support for ~300 staff, and related accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and purchase orders.
• Assist with fortnightly payroll for ~300 employees.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records.
• Resolve invoice, payment and accounts payable queries.
• Manage AP inbox and respond to supplier enquiries.
• Identify and resolve end-to-end AP and payroll issues.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support Finance team with ad-hoc accounts duties.

Finance Officer

Lawson Elliott is excited to be partnering with a growing industrial business based in North Queensland, who are seeking a motivated Finance Officer to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis. This position will also have the possibility to go permanent for the right candidate.

This will be an excellent opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and has a willingness to learn. This role will encompass a wide variety of responsibilities, which will give you the perfect opportunity to grow and develop your skillset.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

• Process supplier invoices and purchase orders
• Assist with preparing and processing fortnightly payroll for around 300 employees
• Reporting and maintaining accurate records
• Resolve invoice, payment and accounts payable queries
• Assist with managing the AP inbox and respond to supplier enquiries
• Identify and solve any issues within the end-to-end accounts payable and payroll process
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Assist the Finance team with ad-hoc accounts duties as required

To be considered for this role, it would be advantageous to have:

• Experience processing a high volume of invoices and payments
• Great communication skills and the confidence to work with external suppliers
• Sound knowledge of large accounting softwares desired
