Lawson Elliott Recruitment is partnering with a growing North Queensland industrial business to recruit a Finance Officer in Mareeba, starting on an ongoing temporary basis with potential to go permanent. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will handle AP, payroll support for ~300 staff, and related accounting tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience processing a high volume of invoices and payments.
• Strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with suppliers.
• Sound knowledge of larger accounting software systems.
• Proactive and solution-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and purchase orders.
• Assist with fortnightly payroll for ~300 employees.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records.
• Resolve invoice, payment and accounts payable queries.
• Manage AP inbox and respond to supplier enquiries.
• Identify and resolve end-to-end AP and payroll issues.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support Finance team with ad-hoc accounts duties.
