KIND ADVISORY PTY LTD is seeking a Finance Manager to split time across two high‑growth startups. You will establish the fundamentals, then move into forecasting, automation, systems and strategy, partnering with founders who want a true finance partner, not just a number cruncher.

You’ll be supported by the family office’s operations leadership and a structured handover from external accountants as you help scale the business internationally and across the portfolio.

Competenze

• Accounting or finance degree required with CA/CPA in progress or completed.
• Approximately 3+ years' experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency with Xero and Excel, and a hands-on, efficiency‑driven mindset.

Mansioni

• Month-end close and management accounts in Xero.
• Budgets, forecasts and reporting to founders and the board.
• AP, AR, reconciliations, cash flow and working capital.
• Multi-entity reporting and payroll compliance.

Most finance roles give you a single focus, one boss and a well-worn path. This one puts you at the centre of two high-growth startups at the same time.

One is a community-based scale-up, the other a health-based scale-up. Both are growing at a very exciting pace, and both are backed by an exceptionally successful and supportive family office with a large portfolio of fast-growing companies.

You’ll work closely with founders and the board, and see how high-growth businesses are built, funded and scaled from the inside while they raise capital and expand. Roles with this level of exposure this early in a finance career rarely come up in Australia.

The role

You’ll split your week across both businesses as their finance manager. The first focus is getting the fundamentals running smoothly and from there, the role opens up into forecasting, automation, systems and strategy. You’ll work alongside founders who want a genuine finance partner, not just a number cruncher.

You won’t be doing it alone. You’ll have support from the family office’s operations leadership and a structured handover from the businesses' external accountants.

What you’ll be doing, and then automating as much as possible:

• Month-end close and management accounts in Xero
• Budgets, forecasts and reporting to founders and the board
• AP, AR, reconciliations, cash flow and working capital
• Multi-entity reporting and payroll compliance
• Inventory, margin and FX management for an internationally growing brand
• Financial modelling for new sites and expansion
• Supporting capital raises with clear numbers and models
• Bringing structure and process to fast-moving teams

What you can bring to the team:

• An accounting or finance degree, with CA/CPA completed or underway
• Around 3+ years' experience in accounting or finance
• Comfort with Xero and Excel
• Enjoyment of hands‑on work, plus an eye for how to make it more efficient

Who you are:

• Keen to grow, and curious about a path beyond the standard corporate one
• Comfortable giving founders clear, honest advice, including when the answer is "not yet"
• Someone who enjoys building relationships with different teams and personalities
• Organised enough to switch between two businesses in the same week
