Job summary

Cox Purtell Staffing Services in North Sydney seeks a Group Finance Manager to lead financial operations for renewable energy projects, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and strategic management while guiding a team of finance professionals.

The role reports to the Group Financial Controller and covers budgeting, forecasting, month-end closes, variance analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimise project performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• CA/CPA qualification.
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems, and advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Australian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Actively oversee the half-year and year-end reporting process to meet external and internal financial reporting requirements.
• Direct the review of detailed external reporting packs provided in half-year and year-end reporting.
• Manage the preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, and analysis, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting reporting processes, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project financial performance and reporting requirements.
