Zusammenfassung

Chaos1 Pty Ltd is seeking a mission-first Finance Manager to own the company’s finances day to day, including the ledger, payroll and superannuation, BAS and statutory obligations, milestone invoicing and cash, and the monthly close and reporting to executives. You will work directly with the CEO/COO, the accountant and program managers to scale a fully managed finance capability.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance; CA or CPA qualification or progress toward it.
• 5+ years in accounting/finance roles, with 3+ years running finances hands-on.
• Experience with Australian payroll including STP and Payday Super obligations.
• Experience BAS, PAYG and payroll tax; working with external tax agent.
• Experience with project or contract accounting, milestone invoicing and WIP.
• Proficiency in Xero or a comparable accounting system, payroll system and Excel.
• Strong controls discipline and ability to keep processes lean in a small company.
• Clear communication with non-finance leaders, including program managers and executives.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Baseline security clearance.
• Onsite at Chaos1's XFACTORY, Sydney.
• Superannuation above the mandated rate.
• 25 days of annual leave per year (one week extra).
• Clearance sponsorship; vetting costs covered.
• Mobilised from the start with equipment and role brief ready before arrival.

Aufgaben

• Run the general ledger, AP/AR, bank and card reconciliations, and monthly close.
• Run payroll and superannuation under Payday Super, including STP reporting and leave/allowances.
• Prepare BAS, PAYG and payroll tax; coordinate with external accountant.
• Invoice milestones and manage receivables and cash forecast.
• Produce monthly management accounts, program cost reports and cash forecasts for executives and board.
• Own budgeting and forecasting with program managers; track actuals vs budgets.
• Maintain finance controls including approvals, segregation of duties and fixed asset register.
• Support audits, grant acquittals, R&D tax incentive claims and annual financial statements with external accountant.
