Job summary

Lyra Technology Group in Brookvale, Sydney, seeks a commercially minded Finance Manager to own the finance function and drive growth across the business.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead month-end close, produce P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analyses, manage budgeting, forecasting and tax obligations, and oversee AP/AR and payroll. A key focus is migrating from Xero to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central while improving finance processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in financial accounting or senior finance role.
• CA qualification or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Experience with Xero; knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central or ability to learn quickly.
• Experience with ERP migration including data migration and testing.
• Strong month-end and year-end close, accruals and reconciliations.
• Proven ability to prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow with commentary.
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning expertise.
• Experience with Australian compliance: BAS/GST, PAYG, payroll tax and FBT.
• Payroll processing experience including STP reporting.
• AR/AP management, collections and supplier payments.
• Advanced Excel skills; financial modelling.
• Strong financial controls and governance; exceptional communication.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, including month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations and compliance.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting with insights for CEO and SLT.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning with variance analysis.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, banking, billing, collections and supplier payments.
• Manage tax and statutory obligations including BAS/GST, PAYG, payroll tax, FBT and year-end.
• Lead the transition from Xero to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including migration, testing and cutover.
• Partner with business leaders on commercial analysis, pricing, profitability and process improvement.
