Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in financial accounting or a senior finance role.
• Strong financial reporting, month-end, budgeting, forecasting, and controls.
• Experience providing commercial and strategic financial support to business leaders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership abilities.
• High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
• Experience with Business Central or similar ERP (desirable).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort with financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, month-end close, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll, banking, cash flow and treasury.
• Manage taxation and statutory compliance, coordinating with external accountants and regulators.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning and financial performance analysis.
• Develop and maintain robust financial controls, risk management and policies.
• Partner with business leaders to provide commercial insights, pricing support, and performance recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting processes and internal controls.

About The Position

Lyra Technology Group is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team in Brisbane.

You will play a key role in overseeing the financial health of the organisation, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing strategic financial guidance to support business decision-making.Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead the finance function, drive continuous improvement and partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical and detail-oriented finance professional with strong business partnering and influencing skills. Sound decision-making based on accurate and timely financial analysis is critical to the success of this role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, month-end close activities, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, banking, cash flow management and treasury activities.
• Manage all taxation and statutory compliance obligations, while coordinating with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial performance analysis to support strategic business decisions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls, risk management frameworks, and finance policies to ensure strong governance.
• Partner with business leaders to provide commercial insights, financial analysis, pricing support, and recommendations to improve business performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, reporting processes and internal controls.

Skills Required

• Minimum 5 years' experience in financial accounting, finance management or a similar senior finance role.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
• Demonstrated experience providing commercial and strategic financial support to business leaders.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
