Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification with a degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum five years post-qualification experience.
• Two years in a Finance Manager or senior accounting role with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax and compliance requirements (GST, BAS, FBT, payroll).
• Experience improving financial processes and strengthening controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end reporting, reconciliations and financial accounting across the group.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight and cash flow forecasting.
• Coordinate annual budgets, rolling forecasts and financial reporting to support business planning.
• Oversee tax compliance, inventory accounting, fixed assets and insurance requirements.
• Explain financial performance and support informed decisions with business leaders.
• Provide clear direction, support and guidance to the Accountant and Accounts & Payroll Officer and develop a capable team.
• Foster positive working relationships between the finance team and the wider business.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and internal controls to strengthen governance.
• Improve financial systems, reporting processes and automation to increase accuracy and efficiency.
