Job summary

Talent Web Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager to lead fixed assets and IFRS 16 lease accounting within a large national organisation. The role combines technical accounting ownership with hands-on team leadership across local and offshore professionals.

You will oversee month-end and year-end processes, strengthen financial controls, governance and audit readiness, and drive improvements to Record to Report with a practical, proactive approach. Hybrid work in Sydney.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified finance leader with senior experience.
• Extensive experience in fixed assets, lease accounting and RT&R.
• Strong IFRS knowledge, especially IFRS 16.
• Proven experience leading onshore/offshore teams in SSC/large corporate.
• Experience in strong financial controls, governance and audit readiness.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement with finance and operations.
• Hands-on approach to process improvement and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting function across a large national business.
• Manage a local team and offshore professionals.
• Oversee month-end and year-end activities including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, reconciliations.
• Own IFRS 16 lease accounting reporting and compliance.
• Maintain accuracy of Fixed Asset Register and governance.
• Drive process improvement and automation of Record to Report.
• Set accountabilities and service standards for the function.
