Job summary

William Clarke College is seeking an experienced and professional Finance Manager with proven Financial Management and Accounting experience.

Reporting to the Business Manager, the Finance Manager is pivotal in guiding and supporting the Finance Team in their day-to-day functions as well as ensuring the College’s financial obligations and statutory functions are carried out in a professional and effective manner and in accordance with relevant policies and legislation.

Qualifications

• Experienced Finance Manager with an Accounting, Commerce or Business Degree and a CPA or CA qualification.
• Experience in financial systems, accounting and reporting as per the Australian Accounting Standards
• Strategic thinker with proven record in financial leadership
• Strong problem solving, negotiating and influencing skills
• Collegiate and a good team player
• Relational and approachable in dealings within the whole College community
• A demonstrated faith in Jesus Christ or a willingness to support the stated ethos and aims of the College in ways consistent with Christian attributes
• The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Senior Leaders and assist the Business Manager in reporting to the Executive, the Head of College and College Council.
• Guide and support the Finance Team in day-to-day financial operations.
• Ensure the College's financial obligations and statutory functions are carried out in accordance with policies and legislation.
• Provide financial management and accounting expertise to strategic decisions.

About the Opportunity

William Clarke College is seeking an experienced and professional Finance Manager with proven Financial Management and Accounting experience.

Reporting to the Business Manager, the Finance Manager is pivotal in guiding and supporting the Finance Team in their day-to-day functions as well as ensuring the College’s financial obligations and statutory functions are carried out in a professional and effective manner and in accordance with relevant policies and legislation.

The Finance Manager will be called upon to liaise with the Senior Leaders and provide assistance to the Business Manager in reporting to the Executive, the Head of College and College Council.

This is a permanent full-time position.

About You

• Experienced Finance Manager with an Accounting, Commerce or Business Degree and a CPA or CA qualification.
• Experience in financial systems, accounting and reporting as per the Australian Accounting Standards
• Strategic thinker with proven record in financial leadership
