Job summary

Ambition Group Limited in Sydney is seeking a Finance Manager to own the numbers, lead a finance team, and drive process improvements. You’ll manage month-end close, tax compliance, and consolidation reporting for a global client base.

You will report to the Finance Director and collaborate with the CFO, with opportunities to grow the team as the business expands. Strong IFRS knowledge and Australian tax experience are essential.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA qualification with at least five years post qualification and leadership experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS 16.
• Experience preparing group reporting packs for overseas parent or head office.
• Hands-on Australian tax compliance, including BAS, FBT and company income tax.
• Exposure to transfer pricing, Pillar Two and Country by Country reporting, or the skills to pick them up.
• Agency, media, or project-based WIP experience preferred; mid-tier/Big 4 backgrounds welcome.
• Advanced Excel and comfort with large data sets and finance systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting.
• Manage sales and cost WIP to ensure jobs are costed, recoverable and closed on time.
• Prepare consolidation reporting pack for head office, including intercompany and group disclosures.
• Oversee tax and compliance tasks (BAS, FBT, company income tax).
• Support Pillar Two and Country by Country reporting.
• Run overhead control, IFRS 16 lease accounting and fixed asset register.
• Partner with account service and production teams on job profitability and cost control.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team; improve processes and automate reporting.

Ready to lead a finance team at an agency that's growing fast?

A global advertising and media agency in Sydney is looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of the numbers. You'll run the month end, look after tax and compliance, report to head office and lead a close knit team. It's a hands on role for someone who wants to make the function better, not only keep it ticking over.

About the role

You'll report to the Finance Director and work closely with the CFO. The business is winning new clients and growing, so there's room to build the team and shape how finance works.

What you'll be doing:

About you:
